OSHIOMHOLE WOOS S-AFRICANS TO INVEST $200M IN EDO

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has told the Board of the Nigerian Institute For Oil Palm Research, NIFOR, to advise a South African investor to look in the direction of Edo State for the investment of $200 million in the cultivation and production of oil palm on 100,000 hectares of land.

Speaking, yesterday, when he hosted the NIFOR Board, led by Senator Lee Maeba, Oshiomhole said the state had adequate land reserves and other infrastructure to meet the demands of the investors.

 

 

Responding to Senator Maeba’s disclosure that a South African investor was seeking to plough $200 million in the agric sector in Edo, Enugu and Benue States, Oshiomhole maintained that Edo was the safest in the entire nation and its people were hospitable.
