PDP chieftain kidnapped in Kogi

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi State, Adamu Enape, has been kidnapped by gunmen.

Enape, who is a member of the Kogi State Pension Board, was kidnapped on his way from the governorship campaign tour of Idah in the Kogi-East senatorial district.

The kidnap took place at Ajegu in Ofu Local Government Area of the state. The spokesperson for the party in the state, Bode Ogunmola, who was contacted on the phone, confirmed the incident. However, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kogi police command, William Aya, denied having any knowledge of the development.
