At the Ease of Doing Business Conference in Lagos, the state of internet connectivity was discussed and solutions discussed for progress in Nigeria’s IT sector.
Phase3 Telecom, West Africa’s largest independent fiber optic infrastructure and telecommunications services provider was one of the companies present.
Phase3 Telecom is a company that operates in fiber optic infrastructure deployment and service provisioning for connectivity purposes. It said its current interest as a company to optimize operations stems from its principal objective of bridging a challenging digital divide.
It hopes to play an active part in fostering scalable solutions through digital technologies.
‘Our interest is to improve the ease of doing business for people and businesses to the standard such solutions enjoy globally, it revealed at the Ease of Doing Business Conference in Lagos event.
The company also emphasized the need for a symbiotic relationship between the government and private entities through public and private partnerships.
‘Ensuring that the nation thrives and becomes globally renowned as an environment that enables sustainable business growth is not the sole responsibility of the government and requires the support of private sector players especially in the information technology, and telecommunications spaces,’ it said.
