A 64-year-old man, Zebulus Chiekezie, from Umukegwu-Akokwa in the Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State has been arrested by the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad for allegedly selling guns and bullets to armed robbers in the state.
Chiekezie was apprehended for being in unlawful possession of four single-barrelled guns and 61 live cartridges.
A police source told Southern City News that SARS Annex Commander in Akokwa, Banjoko Idahosa, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, led the operation that led to Chiekezie’s arrest.
