
The Nigerian Police Force has yielded to the ultimatum issued by the House of Representatives, as the detained Lawmaker, Lado Abubakar regained freedom.

Announcing the release of the detained lawmaker, the Leader of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila disclosed that the lawmaker that was detained by the Nigeria Police in the past three days, Abubakar Lado have been released.
Lado who was on the floor of the House during plenary, while commending the House for rallying around his release, said the reason for his arrest by the Special Anti Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police was purely political.

The House, notwithstanding, urged the lawmaker to file a lawsuit against the Nigeria Police.
Recall that the House had on Wednesday threatened to summon the Inspector General of Police if the lawmaker is not released within 12 hours.
