World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestler Roman Reigns announced his resignation from the organization after announcing his battle with leukemia.
Professional American wrestler, Leati Joseph Anoa’I, better known by his stage name Roman Reigns has announced that he stepping down from his responsibilities as the Universal champion following his battle with leukemia.
The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar has been battling the cancer for 11 years, he had been able to maintain it until recently when the sickness resurfaced. Roman Reigns said:
“When I was 22 years old, I was diagnosed with this. And very quickly I was able to put it in remission. But I’m not going to lie, that was the hardest time in my life. I didn’t have a job, I didn’t have any money, I didn’t have a home and I had a baby on the way,” Reigns said in an emotional speech Monday in Rhode Island to kick off WWE’s Monday Night Raw program.

Reigns was thankful for the opportunity he was given to work with the WWE organization for almost seven years but he had to step down so that he could concentrate on recovering from the ailment. Several colleagues and fans were shocked by the announcement and they’ve began to wish him a quick recovery.
