The Prince of Wales and heir to the British throne, Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, have arrived in Abuja as part of a nine-day tour of Africa with the Royals to spend three days in the country.
They arrived the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 2:00 pm on Tuesday, where they were welcomed by top government officials.
The Royal Highnesses will execute a series of projects and engagements in Abuja and Nigeria.
They will also have a series of meeting with stakeholders in the arts and fashion sector, traditional leaders as well as the armed forces.
The central themes will include the relationship between Nigeria and the United Kingdom including the importance of Commonwealth ties, youth opportunity, business and entrepreneurship, educating of women and girls, and defence cooperation, among other issues.
This will be the fourth time Prince Charles is visiting the country while it is the first time for the Duchess of Cornwell.
