PSP Operators Move Against Visionscape, Seek Scrapping

The Private Sector Partnership (PSP) operators who have been charged with the collection and disposal of refuse in Lagos State yesterday are seeking the scrapping of Visionscape.

Visionscape was given the mandate to clear the metropolis of dirt but the state house of assembly eventually revoked the mandate after public outcry over the ineffectiveness of the company.

A committee headed by the Secretary to the State Government, Tunji Bello, submitted its report to Governor Ambode before the close of work last week.

Reports from the committee’s interaction with stakeholders demanded the state government should end the contract of Visionscape, even after understanding that the waste management firm recorded success in South Africa, Portugal and other countries.
