Worried by the damage to the environment and the access road to their community by operators of tank farms, residents of Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State have called on Federal and Lagos State Governments to intervene without further delay.
They want the government to address the environmental degradation and the damage done to the road by tanker drivers, who load petroleum products daily at the depots. The residents under the aegis of Ibasa- Ijegun-Egba Concerned Youth Movement made the appeal at a news conference on Tuesday in Lagos
Mr Kareem Idowu, the President of the movement, lamented that the tank-farm operators in the community had made life unbearable for the residents.
