Award winning South African actress Shoki Mokpaga committed suicide yesterday at the age of 34 after battling clinical depression for several years. Her management confirmed her demise on Tuesday, September 25th and it was ruled as suicide.
Isindigo shared in the heartache by posting the demise of the fast rising actress on his page:

Shoki won the 2017 Safta Awards after she greatly impressed audience and movie-makers with her exceptional acting in the Afrikaans movie Sink where she played a character known as Rachel. She became the first non-African speaking actress to win a Silwerskerfeem award, she made appearances in major production such as Long Walk to Freedom and Dredd.
Fans and colleagues of Shoki have since been sending in their condolences and share the burden with the deceased family. she was shooting a movie before she took her life on Thursday. It was confirmed that her memorial service would be held on Tuesday, October 2, the date for her funeral has not been announced yet.
