Ini Edo busted into the Nigerian movie industry in 2000 at the age of 18. She took a while behind the scenes before coming through with Thick Madam in 2003.

She graduated from the University of Uyo, having studied Theatre Arts. From a tender age, she showed an immense interest in acting and the entertainment industry. She is one of the most celebrated female faces in the movie industry.
Ini Edo rose quickly through the Nollywood system and became the actress that we recognize today. She has several awards and she was appointed United Nations Habitat Youth Envoy in 2011 by the United Nations.
Furthermore, Ini Edo was a Glo ambassador for almost 10 years from 2006 till 2016. She is currently the Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on Culture and Tourism after she was appointed by Udom Gabriel Emmanuel in 2016.
