Adetutu O.J also known as Elen Paz by her close acquaintances has since gained attention of several social media users and has become an elegant persona for her courage to speak about her tribal marks. She has narrated to the world that beauty comes in diverse perspective even with the traditional tribal mark which was designed on her face while she was a toddler.

See what she wrote on her Instagram account:

I get to meet people who ask me if I did the tribal marks on my face myself and I rather laugh it off or ignore the questionnaire. Tribal marks are done when the child is a week old….. Yes it is a way of beautification and identification then but now it’s not trendy anymore. It should be stopped.
Tribal marks comes with its own bad effects from low self esteem to bullying and much more. This is not a pity party post like how some critics will say.

No one in their right state of mind will do this to their child in this civilised world now.
In building my self esteem and confidence, I challenged myself to do things some people think a person with a tribal marks can’t do.
To all the people with tribal marks in my DM, go out there and be bold. Do great in what they think you cannot do. Ignore the slurs…..

Raise your head high and be happy.
PS: That was me in the first picture and the other pictures are how tribal marks is done.

Adetutu has shared her struggles overtime on her social media and until now she has been struggled with inferiority complex which restrained her from attending tertiary institution. She instead went to acquire a skill and immediately garnered her underground audience around Nigeria.

Adetutu is beginning to use her influence to enlighten people about the barbaric act of child mutilation and the bullying it usually attracts in subsequent years as an adult. She has since been followed back by Rihanna and we hope this is going to be the commencement of greater heights in her career.
