True Confession: ‘My best friend has destroyed my marriage’

True Confession: ‘My best friend has destroyed my marriage’

“Dear Editor,
My name is Agnes. I am a 30-year-old mother of three but my marriage of eight years is on the verge of a crash because of my best friend who has been doing everything possible to break my home.
Udy and I have been very good friends right from our secondary school days. Our parents were family friends and we naturally bonded like sisters. We gained admission into the same university where we continued with our friendship.
But one thing with Udy is that she has always been very insecure which led to jealousy and anything she could not get, she would either try to run it down or destroy it outright. It started when we began dating and Udy would always get edgy over my boyfriends, always thinking I got the best guys.
On two occasions, she had snatched my boyfriends or run me down before them but I always forgave her whenever she apologized.

I was in my final year when I met Donald and we fell madly in love with each other. Right from the start, Don made it clear that he was not just interested in a relationship but wanted to marry me and four years after, we got married and Udy was my maid of honour.
Though she never showed it openly, I knew she was, as usual, jealous of me and had tried everything possible to dissuade me from getting married to Don but since I had my life to live, I refused to heed to her wrong counsel.
But now, it seems she has gotten what she wanted because I found out that she had been secretly sleeping with Don and at the same time, telling him some nasty things about me and my past.

And the funny thing is that a man I call my husband has been enjoying all of these and even went as far as getting my best friend pregnant.
He has insisted on getting married to her and has dared me to do anything I feel like.
I am really fed and nothing on earth can make me share my husband with Udy. It is either I leave him for her or she stays away from my marriage.
Dear readers, this is another case of treachery from a very close friend and after reading Agnes’s story on True Confession today, what do you think she should do?
