VC’s car hits protesting SSANU member

The vehicle conveying the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola, on Monday allegedly hit a member of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, identified as Biodun Atunbi.

It was gathered that the VC was attempting to escape from SSANU members who were protesting against him when one of the vehicles in his two-vehicle convoy hit the SSANU member on the campus.

It was gathered that  Atunbi, after the accident, was quickly rushed to a hospital. Daramola has been having a bad time with members of the three labour unions on the campus – SSANU, the Non-Academic Staff Union, and the National Association of Academic Technologists. Read more
