A village head and seven other suspects have been declared wanted by the Plateau State Police Command on Thursday in connection over the mysterious disappearance of a former Army Chief of Administration, Mohammed Idris Alkali.
This announcement comes one week after the police command took custody of 13 suspects from the 3 Division of the Nigerian Army in Rukuba Barracks, Jos, Plateau State.
The eight suspects include Chuwang Samuel, Nyam Samuel, Pam Gyang Dung, Timothy Chuan and Yakubu Rap who is the village head of Dura-Du District in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, Matthias Tyopev, said preliminary findings revealed the suspects masterminded the disappearance of Alkali.

Alkali was reported to have retired a few weeks before his disappearance on Monday, September 3, a day after gunmen swooped on Dura-Du and murdered about 13 people.
About three cars were said to have been recovered from a mining pond in Dura – Du District during a cordon and search operation conducted by a team of soldiers led by the Garrison Commander of 3 Armour Division, Umar Mohammed.
