Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike says the state will teach the People’s Democratic Party a bitter lesson if it allows presidential aspirants to scuttle the hosting of its presidential primary in Port Harcourt as earlier agreed by party leaders.
Wike spoke yesterday in Port Harcourt during a consultative visit by Gombe State Governor and PDP presidential Aspirant, Ibrahim Dankwambo.
He said there would be consequences if the party succumbed to the pressure to change the venue of its convention from Port Harcourt.
The governor alleged that the pressure was by those he described as planted presidential aspirants.
Wike said his state would not support any desperate aspirant “sabotaging the economy of the state by fighting the hosting of the party’s presidential primary in Port Harcourt.
He said nobody kicked against the choice of Port Harcourt as venue during PDP’s meeting.
