Genevieve is no stranger to our screen; she has been a household name for over two decades now since she made her debut in the Nigerian movie scene and over the years, she has consolidated her status as one of the most prominent actresses in this generation.
Her personality, carriage, and charisma and role interpretation in Nollywood make the audience crave for her presence continuously while she has gained fame and fortune both in Nigeria and the world over with numerous accolades across the globe.
The 39-years-old superstar made her screen debut at the tender age of eight in the soap opera Ripples and since then, she has since appeared in hundreds of movies.
Some of her major movies include Mirror boy, Tango With Me and the award-winning Ije: The Journey where she co-starred alongside with another Nollywood sweetheart, Omotola-Jalade Ekeinde.
She is often referred to as the ‘Julia Roberts’ of the Nigerian movie industry, an accolade given to her by USA screen queen, Oprah Winfrey.
Genevieve is a recipient of several movie awards and was honored a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) conferred on her by the Nigerian government for her immense contribution to Nollywood.

In 2015, she produced her first movie titled Road to Yesterday, and the movie would go on to win an award at the 2016 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards for the Best Movie Overall-West Africa. The ever hardworking Genevieve would also make her directorial debut in the movie “Lion Heart” which became the first ever Nigerian movie to be acquired by online streaming service Netflix, indeed hard work and dedication does pay.
Genevieve’s beauty keeps glowing and shining brightly like her professional career which doesn’t seem to be diminishing. She has taken Nollywood to an entirely new level in recent years.
