Work hard, have respect for legal profession, Judge tasks junior lawyers  (Vanguard)

Justice Babatunde Adejumo, President of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, has advised lawyers, particularly those recently called to the bar, to display exemplary virtues of hard work and respect for the legal profession. Adejumo gave the advice in open court on Friday, when a junior lawyer, Mr Samuel Chukwu, expressed delight at appearing before the judge for the first. Chukwu was among the lawyers call to the bar in November 2016. Chukwu, who was elated for appearing before the judge, commended the efforts of the president in elevating labour laws in Nigeria. The president in turn, urged him and all other young lawyers to cultivate the habit of hard work in order to preserve through the hurdles of litigation. Read more
